On June 11, RA Sushi Bar Restaurant in Plano, Texas hosted a fundraiser with the Dallas Cowboys Women’s Association for Rich Behm, the Dallas Cowboys scouting assistant who was seriously injured earlier this month when the team’s practice facility collapsed during a severe thunderstorm.
Dallas Cowboys players Tony Romo, DeMarcus Ware, Jason Witten, Kyle Kosier, Mat McBriar, Nick Folk, DeAngelo Smith, Doug Free, Pat McQuistan, Cory Procter, Montrae Holland and Bobby Carpenter, as well as former offensive lineman Marco Rivera served as celebrity waiters, bar backs, hosts and sushi chefs at RA from 6 to 8 p.m.
As part of their partnership with the Women’s Association, RA Sushi donated 100 percent of all food and beverage proceeds generated between 6 and 8 p.m. to the Rich Behm Family Trust. In photos, tips and raffle tickets, the event raised $5,251 in two hours and the restaurant raised another $5,487 in food and beverage sales, totaling $10,738.
RA Sushi’s fundraiser was featured on Dallas Cowboys.com on June 11, 2009.
